Mantis Rigging Nodes can be thought of as Geometry Nodes, but for Armatures. You can imagine it as a kind of DIY, node-based Rigify: instead of relying on a pre-built system of rig components, you create your own rigging tools inside a Mantis node tree. With this approach, you can produce virtually any rig you can think of.
The key idea is flexibility and reusability. Mantis aims to replicate everything you can do with manual rigging, but in a node-based, declarative, and infinitely repeatable way. Once you’ve built a rigging mechanism in Mantis, you can reuse it across projects or expand it into more complex rigs without starting from scratch.
